This delightful Welsh self-catering rental holiday cottage offers a comfortable stay in the heart of the Wye Valley. The cottage is found nestled into a valley beside a babbling brook in the village of Tintern. Rushbrook has been well equipped as a relaxing and memorable holiday cottage.

Rushbrook provides ample accommodation for up to seven people and an infant in four bedrooms. There are two separate staircases – one to three bedrooms and another to a further double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. There are three bathrooms altogether, as well as a downstairs cloakroom. The cottage has a very full inventory, with comfortable furnishings to make you feel relaxed and “at home”.

Only a few minutes walk from the centre of the village, famous for it’s 12th Century Abbey, Rushbrook has great forest walking right from it’s doorstep. Fishing, canoeing, cycling, climbing and riding are all found nearby.

Tintern village has a wide choice of pubs, hotels and restaurants, all offering good food, and several featuring local produce. From Rushbrook it is a short walk, just over half a mile, to the centre of the village. Here you will find The Royal George Hotel that has a welcoming bar and restaurant. To the right is The Anchor and to the left are The Rose and Crown, The Moon and Sixpence, The Wye Valley Hotel and Parva Farmhouse.

Walk out of Rushbrook, and away from the village along Forge Road for 1.5 miles and you will come to another excellent pub – The Fountain Inn

Nearby (5 miles) is the historic walled town of Chepstow with good shops, majestic Norman castle and race course. In the other direction (11 miles) is the pretty market town of Monmouth with dramatic medieval stone-gated bridge and good shopping.

Rushbrook offers easy access to the stunning countryside of the Forest of Dean and the Brecon Beacons where there is excellent walking, cycling, fishing and nature watching opportunities.
